A practice-baseddesign research project

In this practice-based design research project we research how design collaboration works. Collaboration is at the core of how we teach design in Management by Design / MxD. As part of this work we reflect on the activities we do. We inquire how innovation and change is made possible. How do situations change from existing situations into new ones?

In design work we use materials to express our ideas. But how do our ideas materialise? What is the relationship between us and the materials? Artefacts hold our ideas. But what role do these artefacts play in the reconfiguring effect of collaboration?

We work with “research through practice”, which is the development of knowledge through the exploration, learning, and application of a topic in practice.
